What is EVUS?

The Electronic Visa Update System, or EVUS, is an automated system that determines eligibility to travel to the United States for temporary business or pleasure on a 10-year U.S. visitor Visa, class B1, B2, or B1/B2. Travelers who fit this description must enroll with EVUS prior to travel to the United States.

Who is required to enroll with EVUS?

Citizens and nationals of the People's Republic of China (PRC): - Who have a 10-year U.S. visitor Visa, class B1, B2 or B1/B2; and - Plan to travel to the United States for short term business or pleasure.

What are the Passport and Visa requirements for enrolling with EVUS?

Your Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the period of your planned visit in the United States, and you must have a valid 10-year U.S. visitor Visa, class B1, B2, or B1/B2. If your valid Visa is in an expired Passport, you will need a new Passport to enroll with EVUS. When you travel to the United States, you must present your valid Passport and your valid 10-year U.S. visitor Visa, class B1, B2, or B1/B2.
